Lesson Choices
The Passing PLace offers a very wide choice of lessons to suit everyone. You can choose your preferred times, your preferred length of lesson, whether to pay-as-you-go or make a block booking, where to start or finish the lesson, or even whether to use your own car if you have one.
Lesson Lengths
You can choose lessons of any length from 1 hour upwards (CW4 postcode) or 90 minutes upwards (other postcodes), in increments of 30 minutes. For new beginners we recommend lessons of 90 minutes, which is the most popular choice amongst our pupils.
Lesson Prices
If you are paying-as-you-go, lessons cost just £21 for the first hour and only £10 for each extra half hour. Add in the discounts for block bookings and you'll see why so many people come to us because of our unbeatable value.
Discounts for Block Bookings
Cut the cost of learning to drive by booking a block of 10 or 20 lessons. You save £1 per hour for 10 lessons and £1.20 per hour for 20 lessons. What's more we are the only driving school to offer a discount of 50p per hour for 5 lessons. Every little helps!

Intensive Courses
In our experience pupils who take one-week crash courses with other driving schools are usually disappointed, so we offer semi-intensive courses to suit your individual needs where we teach you to drive over a period of 2-4 weeks.

Pass Plus
By taking our Pass Plus course after you have passed your driving test you will gain valuable experience which you would not have gained before the test. It consists of 6 modules covering motorway driving, dual carriageways and main roads, rural roads, city centres, night driving and bad weather conditions.
The Passing PLace gives you a bonus seventh module: economical motoring. There is no test involved; you get your Pass Plus certificate by doing the course.
After completing Pass Plus you will qualify for lower insurance premiums from a number of insurance companies. You will also be a safer driver with the confidence to deal with most situations.
Normal Hours
Lessons are normally available from 8am to 8pm, Monday-Saturday (except public holidays). Lessons can be given outside these hours by arrangement, for example to gain night driving experience in the summer months.
